Dien Bien, November 15, 2025 – OSB Group held the inauguration and handover ceremony of the satellite Internet station at Tram Cu Primary School, under Ta Ma Semi-Boarding Primary School for Ethnic Minorities, located in Pu Nhung Commune, Dien Bien Province.

As part of the strategic cooperation between OSB Group and the People’s Committee of Dien Bien Province, and leveraging the company’s technological strengths, OSB Group is honored to continue sponsoring and implementing the project to expand connectivity in “blind-spot areas” and universalize digital access for schools and villages with “no electricity, no mobile signal, and no Internet” in Dien Bien Province. This initiative continues the humanitarian journey of the annual CSR program “Digital Schools for Remote Areas – OSB and Partners.”

Joining OSB Group at this meaningful event were Mr. Nguyen Ba Anh – Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dien Bien Province; Mr. Tong Van Nghien – Member of the Commune Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Pu Nhung Commune; Mr. Nguyen Phuc Dong – Principal of Ta Ma Semi-Boarding Primary School; along with teachers of Tram Cu kindergarten and primary school, and local residents.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ba Anh – Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dien Bien Province – acknowledged and highly appreciated OSB Group’s implementation capability and strong sense of responsibility in establishing and operating satellite communication and Internet systems in remote and disadvantaged areas. He emphasized that the presence of digital connectivity at mountain schools and villages not only helps narrow the gap between mountainous and lowland regions but also opens opportunities for communities to access knowledge and essential services. He also expressed sincere thanks to OSB Group for their dedication and concrete actions, which have brought practical value to residents, teachers, and students here – contributions deeply recognized and appreciated by the local authorities.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Anh – Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dien Bien Province delivered speech at the event

Pu Nhung Commune is one of the most disadvantaged areas of Dien Bien Province in terms of infrastructure and economic development. Tram Cu Village, in particular, is located more than 20 km from the commune center and is the most challenging village, facing the “three no” (no electricity, no mobile signal, no Internet). For years, local residents and students have had to cope with severe shortages of facilities, learning equipment, and especially Internet access – the key that opens the door to knowledge and socio-economic development in the era of rapid technological advancement.

Understanding the difficulties and challenges of education in mountainous areas and the lack of telecommunications infrastructure in remote villages, and driven by a commitment to extend support and connection, OSB Group deployed and successfully built the satellite Internet station. The project aims to provide access to satellite voice and Internet services for teachers, students, and residents living in nearby villages.

The satellite dish system connected to the OSBSAT-1 satellite will provide satellite voice services with domestic phone numbers (06789xxxxx) and a stable Internet connection, meeting the needs of teachers in collecting and developing electronic teaching materials, participating in remote training courses, while helping local residents communicate and access updated information more quickly, benefit from online public services, healthcare, education, and explore new livelihood opportunities, contributing to local economic development.

Mr. Nguyen Quang – Deputy Director of the Satellite Center of OSB Group – handed over the satellite Internet station to the Principal of Ta Ma Semi-Boarding Primary School in the presence of representatives of the Department of Science and Technology of Dien Bien Province and the People’s Committee of Pu Nhung Commune.

In addition, OSB Group provided and installed a solar power system to ensure a stable electricity supply for teaching and daily activities at the school. On this occasion, OSB Group also donated a 43-inch television and many gifts to teachers, students of Tram Cu primary and kindergarten schools, and local residents.

Mr. Tong Van Nghien – Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Pu Nhung Commune – shared at the event:

“Previously, residents had to travel more than 20 km to the commune office to submit documents and complete administrative procedures. Now, thanks to the telecommunications and Internet infrastructure sponsored by OSB Group, the local government has implemented a two-level administration model, allowing online submission and processing right in the village. Tram Cu School will become a community hub for satellite calls and Internet access, where residents can gather, receive support, and access public services much more conveniently.

Mr. Tong Van Nghien – Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Pu Nhung Commune shared at the event

OSB Group believes that digital transformation should not begin solely in major cities, but must reach every village and every mountain school, where students and local communities deserve access to knowledge and the outside world through Internet connectivity.

With this spirit, OSB Group hopes to receive continued support from ministries, government agencies, and enterprises to further expand the journey of connecting underserved areas and building digital infrastructure, contributing to the national goal of comprehensive digital transformation.
